what I made this evening

I'd been aching to make light golden circles ever since the beginning of last semester, and our gold project. Tonight I finally did, at uni, peace and quiet. 18ct wire in two thicknesses, fused.

The hooks are very delicate and let the weight of the forged gold move when worn, like light, or ripples on water; I thought about something ancient when forming these. I've been also thinking about the phases of the sun, and how they might relate to our psyche, metaphorically. Eclipse, for instance, translates to "I cease to exist."

PS. From timeanddate.com again, today:
Duration of day: 10 hours, 25 minutes (1 minute, 55 seconds longer than yesterday)
